Philippa Levenberg is a Producer in the Afghanistan Television Service at the U.S. international broadcasting service, Voice of America (VOA). She works for VOA’s Karwan TV, a weekly features show broadcast in Afghanistan.

Before moving to Washington, D.C., Philippa worked in South Africa as a Features Reporter for Creamer Media, the Johannesburg-based publisher of websites and magazines Mining Weekly and Engineering News. She went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Public Policy at American University (AU), where she worked as a Research Assistant at the Investigative Reporting Workshop.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Political Science, as well as an an Honors (postgraduate) Degree in Political Communication, from the University of Cape Town (UCT).
